RIO OLYMPICS – Botswana’s Olympic team might be leaving with the 2016 Olympic Games not a single medal to boast of, the team still have hope of clinching unto something as valuable as Gold as they are currently occupying the top of the most disciplined team at the Olympics so far.
The list which is been compiled by international accounting and auditing firm, PricewaterhouseCoopers(PwC) under the auspices of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) has Botswana leading the pack closely followed by Australia and Canada in second and third positions.
With just about six days for the games to end, Botswana which was represented by a team of 12 athletes is likely to maintain the top position and return back home with their heads high.
This is the first time in the history of the Olympic Games that this award known as EYE OF THE WORLD has been introduced. The winner of the award would be announced and presented with a shield by the President of the IOC, Thomas Bach at the closing ceremony on August 21.
